The Importance of Good Posture

You’d be surprised how much pain poor posture can cause!

Do you have any idea how much your head weighs? Or how hard your spine has to work to keep that weighty head propped up, or hunched over?

The information revolution has not been kind to our spines in general. Spending hours and hours seated, looking at our hand-held devices at odd angles in bed, on the sofa – even waiting in line at the market – has led to all kind of head, neck and back problems among people of all ages.

Short of putting the devices down and taking a long walk out in nature – which is the best advice we can give to remedy what ails you – Dr. Matt has a few tips to lessen the impact on your spine so you can decrease pain and give your hard-working spine a break. Check out this month’s Best of Wellness Connection video!

And when all else fails, please call and make an appointment to see one of head, neck and jaw experts. or, visit us at alliedpt.com where you can request an appointment online and find plenty of other resources to help keep your body in peak operating condition.

In case you missed it…

Dr Susanne and Amanda have completed their healthcare mission trip to Guatemala where they provided patient education, manual therapy, exercises, and supplies in the city of Cubulco — many of which were generously donated by Allied patients! The people they treated were deeply grateful for the care, supplies, and prayers of blessing there were offered. They heard so many powerful testimonies, and said many tears were shed during prayer. God was truly present with every single patient! In return, they received endless hugs and heartfelt blessings! Thanks to each and every person who helped make this mission trip a reality!
