Happy Birthday, Dr. Matt! 🥳

The entire staff of Allied Physical Therapy Wellness Community wished a very Happy Birthday to our own Dr. Matthew Harkness, who shared these reflections on turning 50:

  • Life is about relationships and connecting – they have brought richness, perspective, growth and fulfillment to my life.
  • Life is about the long game; being consistent, and appreciating steady progress.
  • Life is about being present – being where my two feet are.
  • Life is about serving, giving and contributing.
  • Do not compare myself to others.
  • My faith gives me confidence, a steady footing, and brings purpose to all that I do.
  • Be open.
  • Be me: Sincere, vulnerable, hopeful, faithful, always listening and always growing.
  • On the other side of Tension is growth… breathe… learn… pray.
  • Morning is my favorite time of day; breakfast is my favorite meal.
  • I recharge in nature, when I write, when I worship, and when I am one-on-one with those that I love.
  • Always be a student; learning and asking for help.
  • Take time to reflect, process, step back and get perspective.
  • Every person in my life is unique and has something wonderful to contribute to my life.
  • Always the see the good and the potential in others.
  • Nothing is ever perfect or ideal.
  • Be flexible and bendable – and make adjustments as necessary.
  • There is no challenge that I can’t handle with God’s help.
