Brush Your Muscles!! 🪥

Stretch, move and challenge your muscles and they will happily carry you through life!

If you have spent any amount of time in the Allied Physical Therapy clinic, you know that Dr. Matt is constantly reminding our staff and guests of the importance of ‘brushing their muscles!”

We all know that daily teeth-brushing is a necessity to maintaining good dental health. Likewise, daily stretching and movement is important to maintaining optimum physical health.

Each day should include habitual, scheduled times to stretch and move – whether you are enjoying your retirement or working in front of a computer screen all day. And perhaps most importantly, you should begin your daily stretching habit before putting your feet on the floor in the morning! Each day, upon waking, your body readies and resets its movement system with a spontaneous morning stretch – you don’t even have to think about it. But, taking that stretch a step further by stretching the hips, back and neck can warm up those muscles groups and keep them limber for that early-morning coffee dash.
