Are your walking shoes fit for your feet?

In this Best of Wellness Connection installment, Foot Specialist Ben Meyer reminds us how to check for the best fit.

The best kind of walking shoe doesn’t have to be the most expensive. But they do need to be supportive and comfortable. If you are suffering from any kind of foot, arch or heel pain, your may want to give your walking shoes the once-over. And remember, according to the good people at Harvard University Health, you should replace those walking shoes every 300 to 500 miles. If you walk briskly for 30 minutes a day, five days a week, that translates to a new pair every six to 12 months. In this month’s Best of Wellness Connection video, Allied’s Foot Specialist, Ben Meyer, teaches us how to check your walking shoes for a proper fit.

Allied’s physical therapists are always eager to help their guests get back to what they love – without drugs and without surgery. If you continue to suffer from foot, arch or heel pain after checking your shoes for proper fit, give us a call. We can help you get to the bottom of foot pain and get you back to what you love!
