Specialty Trained Therapists

At Allied Physical Therapy, our therapists have been specialty trained in a specific area of physical therapy in order to give their patients even better service. In order to become specialty trained, therapists have to take extra classes to further increase their knowledge of physical therapy. This increased training gives our therapists the ability to treat our patients with greater care than therapists who haven’t received this training.

Certified Manual Therapy (MTC)

Manual therapy is an evidenced based hands on approach to treatment.  It is a method of treatment that utilizes skilled touch by the therapist’s hands to manipulate or massage, stretch muscles, connective tissue and joints to allow for improved function and reduction of pain.

Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation is an evidenced based hands on and educational approach to the treatment of Pelvic Floor and Pelvic Girdle Dysfunction.

  • Incontinence of Bowel and/ or Bladder

    Sports Medicine Rehabilitation (PT, ATC)

    Our team of professionals include dually trained clinicians as a Physical Therapist (PT) and a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC).  Encompassing the prevention, conditioning and diagnosis of emergency, acute, and chronic sports injuries. We serve both recreational, amateur, and professional athletes.

    Center for Balance and Mobility

    Our Center for Balance and Mobility offers clinical, evidenced based expertise for the treatment of individuals with neurological, vestibular (inner ear) and gait and balance disorders. Our balance specialists assesses deficiencies of vestibular system, sensory impairment, motor impairment and functional limitations. A comprehensive treatment plan is established to prevent future falls and allow for optimal independence and an active life style.
